SNCI acquires and manages stakes in companies and funds of strategic importance for the development and diversification of the Luxembourg economy.
Investment funds - our selection criteria
To be eligible, a fund must meet the criteria of financial performance and Luxembourg economic substance, while respecting the following requirements:
- Key sectors: fintech, deep tech (AI/Quantum/Robotics), energy and clean technologies, health-tech, space technologies, sustainable development and green technologies, IoT, and blockchain;
- Strategy: Venture capital, private equity, private credit;
- Legal structure: in Luxembourg, investments in funds not based in Luxembourg possible under conditions
- Regulation: Regulated or supervised structures, at fund and/or manager level
- Shareholders: Minimum 30% private investors
- Luxembourg Economic substance:
- Investment team and/or key personnel based in Luxembourg;
- Search for investment opportunities in Luxembourg;
- Establishment of foreign companies in Luxembourg;
- Cooperation with local stakeholders to contribute to the growth of the ecosystem..
To facilitate our analysis, your file must include: Investment strategy, presentation of the team and its track record, competitive positioning, governance, legal structure and summary of conditions (Term Sheet).
Co-investments - our selection criteria
To be eligible, a co-investment proposal must meet the criteria of financial performance and Luxembourg economic substance, while respecting the following requirements:
- Model: Systematic co-investment through an SPV and alongside a venture capital (VC), private equity (PE) or private credit fund.
- Partner: The co-investing fund must have an element of regulation or supervision.
- Shareholders: Minimum 30% private investors.
- Targets: Startups, SMEs and mid-sized companies, from seed to growth
- Key sectors: Deeptech (AI, quantum, robotics), Sustainable development, Energy & CleanTech, Fintech, HealthTech, IoT and Blockchain, SpaceTech.
- Luxembourg Economic substance:
- Business plan demonstrating concrete local development (profit center);

Material contribution to the innovation of sectoral clusters;

Close cooperation with the local ecosystem.
To facilitate our analysis, your file must include: Detailed business plan of the local entity in relation to the global group, presentation of the team, market analysis, governance, as well as a complete presentation of the co-investor fund (history, team, structure and conditions)
