About
In 2025, the Phenicia restaurant opened its doors in the Infinity Center in Luxembourg. The family business, headed by Kefah BADER ALDIN, an experienced co-manager, has been offering a high-quality gastronomic experience featuring Lebanese and Syrian cuisine for many years.
Looking back, what were your company’s key challenges or obstacles?
M. K. Bader Aldin: In my opinion, the main obstacle was access to financing. Many promising ideas struggle to find the financial support they need to come to fruition. .
SNCI, through its ProDevelop program, co-financed the renovation works and purchase of equipment enabling the SME to carry out its plans to reopen in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
Could you share a specific moment or interaction with SNCI that stood out to you as particularly helpful or supportive?
M. K. Bader Aldin: When approaching various financial institutions, mentioning the SNCI’s support was always a major asset. The positive impact was immediate and even reflected in the attitude of our banking contacts.
What advice would you give to other SMEs in Luxembourg who are facing similar challenges or seeking growth opportunities?
M. K. Bader Aldin: I would advise drawing up a business plan backed by a solid financial plan. Next, it’s essential to bring in a financial partner such as SNCI – it’s co-financing allows the bank to share the risk.
